Test Perception Check

Perception Check is a pocket arcade of cozy daily games: people-watching bingo for the line you're standing in, quick puzzles, a tiny platformer, a drum room, and games to play together. It's free; banners pay for it, and a one-time unlock removes them.

It's in early testing on Android, and anyone is welcome to try it. A test build is the real app, a little ahead of everyone else: now and then something is rough, and that's what you're there to tell us.

Join in three steps (Android, about two minutes)

Use the same Google account for all three: the one your phone's Play Store is signed in to (Play Store › your picture, top right, shows which). A personal Gmail account works best; some work and school accounts aren't allowed to join groups outside their organisation.

  1. Join the testers' group. Open https://groups.google.com/g/perception-check-testers and tap Join group. You're in straight away; nobody needs to approve you, and the group sends no mail.
  2. Opt in. Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.hiddencapy.perceptioncheck and tap Become a tester. The page then says you're a tester.
  3. Install. Get it from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hiddencapy.perceptioncheck (it shows as "Perception Check (Early Access)"). Updates arrive through Play like any app's, and the app's home screen says when a newer one is ready.

iPhone and iPad

Not yet: an iPhone version is on its way through Apple's TestFlight, and this page will say how to join when it opens.

Leaving

Open the opt-in page again and tap Leave the program, then leave the group from its page if you like, and uninstall. Almost everything the app keeps lives on your phone; what leaves it, and how to delete it, is in the privacy policy and the delete-your-data page:
